I have to go offline to do this then go back online for it to sync to the server & add the new folder. For example: the letter after an apostrophe gets capitalized w/ autocorrect - had to shut off automatically capitalize the first letter in the sentance also, I can add a new folder but I can't rename it and it's really finicky about moving an email into a folder on the server. Just make sure to shut off automatic update otherwise, it will go straight to 14.2.5.įYI: It still has it's weird glitches though. I manually updated to the 14.2.3 version soon after and have not come across any syncing issue. I worked with first version until I was satisfied it was syncing properly. IT reinstalled Office, 14.2.0 and shut off the automatic update option.

An update of Office, 14.2.5, was released around the time I had these issues (late November). There solution was to roll back to the previous version of Office. It copied the email to their various folders. IT believes that Outlook was having an issue with deleting/moving emails from the Inbox. My IT department believed it was the version of Office that I was using. I was able to find a way to work around it. I'd like to reitterate that this started last Tuesday (Nov 20).

If I make any changes in Mail (On a different computer that is on Snow Leapord) or on the web, I just sync the folder and it shows the changes in Outlook. It takes all those emails in my Inbox online and puts them back in my Inbox on the server. Same thing goes if I repair the folder in Outlook. Therefore, if I refile the emails, read them or delete them I will have dupllicate emails. The strangest part: All those emails I filed away in folders on the server or deleted are in those folders AND in my inbox. (The most recent email in a conversation is read but several earlier ones are not). However, once I leave work and view my emails online or on another program (such as MacMail), I see those 100 emails in my inbox with only half of them read and another half unread.

I am able to receive and send emails with no errors.

The rest have been deleted, or filed away. I can go through 100 emails in my inbox to only 10 by the end of the day. I go through my day as usual reading emails, responding to them, and filing them away in folders (on the server). My work email is set up in Outlook 2011 version 14.2.5 using IMAP. Because my skeptism of Microsoft, it probably is an issue with Microsoft 2011 and they probably don't want to bother fixing it. I decided to try a mac forum first in case this is a ML issue with Outlook, rather than just an Outlook issue. I have taken a look at Microsofts website but did not find any issue close to mine. If I ignore all the known issues with Outlook 2011 since moving to Mountain Lion, I would say Outlook has been running fine until last week.
